VJ HealthCare - Ghana & Nigeria

This is Jason, who VJ sent to Bangalore, India, for free specialist cardio surgery. His operation went extremely well and we are so pleased with the recovery he is continuing to make.

Dr Pamela Kaushal and VJ secretary Angela Bhardwaj visited the paediatric oncology department of Korle Bu hospital, Ghana, observing that most parents were struggling to afford their children’s treatment.

From May 2024 to October 2024, VJ sponsored 32 patients for their medical/surgical investigations and treatments across three hospitals in Ghana and one hospital in Nigeria. Most of these patients were children with cancer.

We also funded twice weekly dialysis sessions across five dialysis units in Ghana, for patients unable to afford regular dialysis at a cost of £25 per session. The total cost over the six month period was approximately £42,000
